<font color='#000000'>Is it me or this is the way it is supposed to be? I feel my tower speaker sound a lot louder during stereo operation than in any other mode for the same source (say Pro Logic or any DSP). I supposed when the Center and Surround channels are engaged the receiver current output is divided between more channels or something. The spec states 110 watts/ch in stereo and 110 watts/ch in surround operation, but still it feels louder in stereo. If so, are all receivers the same for that matter? I am looking into a new receiver, Denon or Yamaha (see 2 postings below) and need to make sure.
