loud music

ive recently bought a zune (mp3 player) and the kit to connect it to the stereo... and i LOVE it, it allows me to listen to my huge music collection on the stereo...

well the problem is, some of the songs i like to listen to really loud... like bobaflex, hoobastank, taproot you get the idea.. lol

well i think i want to get some speakers that are suited for playing loud, i currantly have the energy take series which does a good job, but the sound doesnt seem to get loud.. err i dont know its weird.. its loud but as soon as you go into the kitchen its not loud, its as if the sounds doesnt carry... i hope that makes sense... lol

id love to get some floorstanders but with the way the living room is there just isnt any room, so i need bookshelfs... and keep in mind i do watch movies too... so they cant be 100% music

Sounds Good (great username, BTW),

If your speakers are plenty loud for you in the living room, then I'm not sure what value you'll get from replacing them. It seems to me like it's the acoustics of your home that's causing the volume to drop off in the kitchen. Perhaps you'd benefit from adding speakers in the other rooms where you like to listen, such as the kitchen?

Just my thinking on this.

yeah maybe... i am not sure...

i personally think its their size... i think id like to get a full range speaker.. satalites are nice, but for one, the NEED a sub to get the full range and some songs the sub is just a little much and i dont want to have to keep making small ajustments for every song...

for some reason i think i might be happy with a nice bookshelf..

ive been wanting to get a package minus sub (saving pennies for a SVS) , from acsend.. but i wonder if they will cut the mustard with music playback
