Hi,

I am just buying my new speakers and like everybody in my situation I am having the best time but always doubting what speakers to buy.

My room is 20 feet for 17 and I want to change the speakers. I am from Spain so the prices that i am going to give you will proabably make you laugh. I am thinking about buying: Front: Proac Studio 140 (2.600 US$), Surround: Tablette 2000 (1.300 US$), and Central Proac CC1 (1.100 USS$). The subwoofer would be the Velodyne CHT12 (it is only for Europe, 12 inches and 200 W continous). The AV receiver that I have is the Onkyo TX DS787.

The question is if you could recommend me better speaker than these ones, consider that the prices in Europe are about 25-30% higher that in the states. So it has to be in that range of price.

I like music but I will watch most of the times music, and my ears are not very well prepared for audiophily (maybe becasue this way I do not hear my neighbourds complaining about the music)

The other question would be that i plan to change the receiver next year, and planning to spend about 2,500 US$, in that range I hope i can get something good, what would you recommend, should not i buy Proac if I am going to change the receiver??

Anyway, I only know that I hav no idea but I love music !!

I have never heard of those speakers so I can not say yes or no to them. But I can tell you that there is an Energy dealer in Barcelona that you can get Energy speakers from. They kick butt that is for sure. Jamo is in Portugal. I am pretty sure that B&W would be out of your price range. And 2500 us for a receiver is HUGE! You can go crazy good with that budget.

Personally I would transfer some of that money to the speakers. Drop your receiver down to 1800 US and put the extra money into speakers. They do the most for your system any ways! That is just my .02 cents on the matter though!

Good luck!
