Have an old Sony Dream system 5-dvd player, Sony Bravia XBR , satellite dish, and roku hooked to the HDMI switch. Has been working fine, till a power outage. Turned everything back on, DVD scrolled message "unplug, protect" so I unplugged it then back in. Wouldn't come up on the screen. Showed that a dvd was playing,, and i could faintly hear it on one speaker, but it wasn't showing on the TV. All the tv shows is Video 6, which used to be the port for the satellite before the Kinivo connection. That time, after messing with it, and the various remotes, thinking my husband hit a wrong button, since everything was working but the connection, I bought a new HDMI cord. And everything worked. Now it happened again, but the new cord is not fixing it. I'm thinking the same thing about the remotes. ANy ideas?>
Well, the dvd player is dead. Is it possible to hook a non-HDMI dvd player directly to the TV and watch dvds?
If so, how do I get around the Kinivo to get the DVD's picture on the TV?
