Lost Auto Setup Mic

Hey guys, I have a Pioneer 1015tx and have lost my setup mic, I know I can order a new one online from pioneer, but they are sold out, anyone know if I can just go purchase another mic from a store that uses the same 1/8" plug to do an auto setup? If so, does it need to be omni-directional? thanks in advance

The Pioneer is probably calibrated to match the measurement characteristics of the mic that it comes with. Using some other mic is likely to result in incorrect measurements, I would imagine. I'd play it safe and order the mic and wait for it to arrive whenever.

Or, another alternative to Joshua, buy a Radio Shack SPL meter, analog version, about $35- $40. Then you have a tool you can use for other measuring.

Well, his receiver has an auto-EQ. So if he wants that, he needs the mic.

Didn't you buy that thing at about the same time I did (in other words, not too long ago). That's really sad

Yeah I think, so, but within that time I have moved on 3 seperate occasions, It's strange I have everything else for the receiver except that setup mic
