Losing signal strength. Need Help!

I am having an issue I just can't wrap my head around. I have a two channel system consisting of a Yamaha dsp a1000 and two kenwood amps. *I am using the Yamaha as a preamp and am running to a cs labs distribution amp to the amplifiers. I am getting a lower strength signal in the left channel of each amp. Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Swapped the cables from the pre outs to the distribution amp
2. Swapped the cables from the distribution amp to the power amps
3. Tried removing the distribution amp and connecting to each amp with and without splitters
4. Tried three different receivers
5. Tried using a power conditioner

None of the things I have tried have alleviated the problem of low signal in the left channel. I know the power amps are functioning correctly as I have connected my iPod directly to each amp and there was no signal loss. The problem exists no matter what source I choose at the receiver. If someone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With out being there, I can only offer questions/theories. I wonder if that yamaha DSP A1000 itself is doing something sneaky and wonky? Also, is that CS Labs distributer working O.K?

I don't think it is the Yamaha as I have been able to replicate the problem with other receivers. As far as I can tell, the distribution amp is okay, but removing it from the equation doesn't cause any improvement either.

By any chance, do your amps have any gain controls in the back. It might be just a little hole that you can adjust the gain with a little screwdriver. It's just a wild guess.

I think the issue might actually be a combination of cables and the distribution amp. I switched a few things around today and pulled the distro amp from the mix and things seemed to improve. I have new cables on the way and I will report back if I am successful.

Well, no luck. I changed all of the preamp cables with brand new ones. I swapped the right and left outputs and tried swapping the speakers from left to right. I switched to an audio dynamics b-200 (dbx bx-2) from the kenwood and the problem still exists.

The problem exists no matter if I change receivers or input sources. I checked the gains on the amp and they are equal.

How can I go about checking if the same signal is being output by the preamp?
