Lord of the rings on THX?

I can't get enough of my LOTR's DVD's! (period!) I think this is the all time greatest movie ever made. Reasons would be the time spent into making the movie,location( The use of mountains, river's and so on). I just can't think of a better movie! Star wars is great also but 90% I would think was done on blue screen. So with that said I was woundering if they would every redo the movie in THX like they did T2?

They won't re-release the DVDs with a THX certified mastering job. Just rest assured the current disk meet-or-exceed most THX standards. They may use a THX mastering on the HDDVD or Blu*Ray releases
