Hello,
I have read on your forums here and there and I have a dilemna I am trying to figure out. I am looking at buying these two pieces of equpiment:
Amazon.com: Pioneer VSX-1022-K 560W 7-Channel A/V Receiver, Network Ready, Pandora, iPod/iPhone, Black: Electronics
Amazon.com: Sony HT-CT150 3D Sound Bar System: Electronics
This would be to replace my current sound system. What I would be using the receiver and sound system for is a few things:
I would use it for my record player which is currently using a separate phono-preamp into one of those 2 speakers with a receiver that has a cassette player. (It's fairly old I believe... given to me by a friend).
Also well, I would use the receiver and hook it up to my TV and Apple TV and Wii U.
I like the receiver because it seems like it could do all this and even includes pandora/ipod playing which is also nice considering all my music is on my phone or record player and I don't own anything else for music playback.
My main questions is although these two probably aren't the best would they seem to work well together (I am unsure how to determine reciever and speaker compatibility). I chose a soundbar becuase it seems to "emulate" 5.1 which is how close I want to get to. Yet, on the flip side I live in a rented apartment and would not be able to accomodate a 5.1 system right now.
Do you guys have any suggestions if I am thinking in the wrong direction or know of better receivers or sound systems that could be gotten for a better price or maybe a different setup that may be more useful?
