Looking to buy my second audio system

Hi everyone!

So for a while now, I am thinking about renovating my apartment.
And in doing so, I wanted to change my old Panasonic SH-EH500, which my dad bought in the 90's:).
There are so many options, that I'm overwhelmed with.
Basically I want a system, preferably connected through bluetooth or wifi(I understand this can mean lower quality), but I want to be able to take the system with me at a party for example. The room I intend to use the system is 4 m by 7 m and would like to use it for home cinema also.My budget is small, about 500-600 Euros or even less if that is possible:).I looked at used Sonos speakers on Ebay, but would like your opinion on that.My other option would be buying from this website here in Romania, there are others but this one is way more convenient(link bellow):

That being said I really wish you can help me with some advice.

Best regards,

Dan

Hi Dan!

In the portable speaker market, most anything sold new is able to connect via bluetooth or wifi.

It sounds like you need to establish priorities because portability really changes the products you are looking at. I'm not sure I would recommend any Home Theater speakers to be moved around unless they were very inexpensive.

A bit of a different direction perhaps....

But I would personally be looking at an RPi based audio streamer using Volumio, Then directly connecting that to a set of powered speakers.

In fact, I'm already doing this exact setup for myself, but have the options for other uses besides just a set of standalone powered speakers.

Hi , thank you for your response, I know portability is a bit to much, so maybe I can skip that.
Slipperybidness, can you tell me some models your are looking at.I dont know much about brands.
