Looking to build a nice 2 channel setup

Well, here goes. As the title states i'm looking for a nice 2 channel setup. This system is going to be for listening to the radio. What I would like help with is figuring out what pieces i need. I think i would like a system of separates, tuner, amp, pre amp. or tuner and integrated amp. But Im not sure i need all of the features these offer, as this will only be used to listen to radio. I believe a system of separates would sound the best. My thinking being that if i buy a NAD C427 for say, the radio would sound better than off a Yamaha HTR-5940 where the radio is likely just there as another feature.
The only piece of the puzzle that is already in place are the speakers, which are ordered already. They are a pair of Fluance SX6 Bookshelf speakers. Here are the specs.

SYSTEM TYPE 2 Way - 2 Driver Bookshelf Loudspeakers
TWEETER 1 inch Neodymium Balanced Silk Dome Ferrofluid Cooled
WOOFER 5 inch Polymer Treated Driver with Butyl Rubber Surround
POWER HANDLING 30 - 100 Watts
FREQUENCY RESPONSE 50Hz - 20KHz
SENSITIVITY 92dB
CROSSOVER FREQUENCY 3500Hz PCB Phase Coherent - Mounted Circuitry Butterworth Design
IMPEDANCE 8 Ohms
ENCLOSURE Tuned Rear Port Bass Reflex Bookshelf Design
DIMENSIONS (H X W X D) 13.5 x 8.3 x 9.1 inch
WEIGHT 11.6 pounds/speaker.

These are not million dollar speakers, but i believe they will sound great when paired a compatible system. I would like help figuring out how to match these with an amp. I'm not sure how many watts per channel would be necessary in order to make good sound. I would like a warm sound, and i am open to all suggestions. Thanks in advance for any and all ideas.

The speakers will determine the sound of your system. The receivers contribution is moot.

To be honest, with the speakers you've chosen, I wouldn't invest too much money in a receiver. That won't be the limiting factor in your sound. And, a multi-channel receiver would be a waste of money since you have no desire for multi-channel sound.

As for radio, unless you can put up a decent antenna, don't expect too much from any receiver.

Like Mark said, a decent FM radio antenna will make much more of a difference than any receiver or tuner. What makes for a decent antenna? It depends on where you are, and where the broadcast tower(s) are. Depending on those locations, you may also need an antenna rotor. Do your best to avoid using an antenna amplifier.

Your speakers can be driven by any amp or receiver capable of delivering 30 to 100 watts per channel. In today's market, that would include just about anything. Separate tuners, preamps, and amps will cost much more, but probably will not make any audible difference. Spend your money on an antenna. A modestly powered and priced stereo receiver ought to do you well.

That suggested receiver would be a good choice. It'll also drive other speakers should you decide to upgrade. Here's some other options as well, and it's a good place from which to buy.

This site is also useful in finding what FM stations are available in your area and where they are relative to your location. http://radio-locator.com/ Go to "Advanced Search" and enter your zip code.

The DAB radio looks too small. The sound and reception may be quite nice, but i am looking for something a little more stately. i have gotten rid of cable and am replacing my TV with this Tuner setup. So for this i think a DAB radio would be too small. Thanks

I agree with Mark and Swerd with regards to a good antenna.
Here is a site that ranks and tests older FM tuners. It may offer guidance if you're interested in trying a vintage tuner: http://www.fmtunerinfo.com/

What is your location? If we know that, it'll be much easier to make recommendations on the antler and tuner.
