Looking for the right AV receiver

I would really appreciate the collective wisdom of this forum please. I'm just in a new home with pre-wiring for 5.1 in the main room and pre-wiring for ceiling speakers in four other rooms all leading to central wall plates. I have a Samsung 9000 series TV and an old but functional Bose speaker system for 5.1 . I am looking at Yamaha, Pioneer Elite, and Denon right now but I'm open to suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Amazon often sells previous Denon & Marantz AVR models at 50% off (somethings more). For example, the $1000 MSRP Denon X3100 was $500 brand new on Amazon. Watch for that or similar.

A receiver for room with the 5.1 system isn't too much of an issue.

It's those other four rooms with a pair of speakers in each that will cause you consternation. Receivers don't really like driving multiple sets of speakers.

What Mark said. Make sure you get a receiver that has RCA outputs for Zone 2. You’ll need them for the extra amplifiers you’ll need for all those speakers.
