Looking for some Sonus Faber's cheap?

Tweeter is swapping Faber's as their high-end speaker model for a company called Focal (pronounced Foh-Cal). I'm not at all familiar with them but they are French and they are supposed to be impressive (anybody heard?).

Anyway...Tweeter has all it's Faber set at clearance prices. The shop in Columbia, MD. just sold a pair of floor model Grand Pianos of $2000, a pair
of Concertino's for $300 and the $450 Faber stands for $28. This store
is completely sold out but he said other stores haven't clear them out yet.

The Focals are supposed to be on the floor by August 25th and all the Fabers must be off the floor by then (for contractual reasons). The closer they get to that date the more flexible they will be with the price. If interested call your local Tweeter dealer.

Cheers,

Whoa, those are pretty darn good prices. Too bad there are no Tweeter stores out here...

Focal has been around for a long time, and they make great stuff. Ever heard of JM Lab speakers?

I'm not familiar with Focal from a home audio standpoint, but they make an exceptional line of car audio gear. The Utopias were some of the finest separates I heard back in the day... right up there with Rainbow's pro series (which was the low end of their line...lol)

Jump on those if you have the cash. The Sonus Stradivari are some of the best sounding towers I've ever heard. The cabinets are to die for. You'll need a dedicated amp IMO to properly drive them.

The Focal Grande Utopia have received many awards, but IMO aren't even close to the eye candy the Stradivari are. I've not heard the French/UK speakers, so I can't comment on their quality/sound. I'm sure they're right up there with the Sonus.

Yep. Focal is the raw driver manufacturing side, and JM Lab is the speakers side.

I am sorry to say that alot of the Sonus Faber stuf is starting to dry up, at leat in the southern regions. We had them for excellent prices. Our store just sold our last set of Concertinos and Concertos just last week. Sumiko decided to roll out with the new Magnolia Hi-fi developments, so we lost them. It's a shame since that mean we lost both Sonus and Vienna Acoustics, which were both awesome speakers. If anyone is looking for a set of Grand Painos, I would call your nearest tweeter location and have them check the system to see if any are left in their region. All of them will be floor models though, but at such prices, its a steal.

Just to add, the full roll out of the Focal home products should arrive late august. Most stores will get the Chorus line, while newer concept stores and top selling stores will get the Profile and Electra stuff. The Profiles will be set up in stores as a stereo set up with Krell amps/pre-amps running them. Should be nice. Oh yeah, heres a link:

Make sure you hit the English tab, unless you speak french that is.
