Looking for some good earbuds and some kind of Spotify-supporting MP3 player

I started a new job recently where they let us listen to music while we work, but only in one ear unfortunately, so headphones are out. Most of the earbuds I've used in the past have had terrible sound quality, so if anyone can reccommend something decent I'd appreciate it.

Also I need some kind of MP3 player as I lost my old one. Most of my music is not with me, so I'm probably just going to sign up for spotify premium for a few months, so it needs to be compatible with Spotify. Something with pretty good memory is important too because I'd like to rip the CDs that I *do* have in a lossless format. Also, it needs to be able to play mono through only one earbud.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I might get some fuss for this but I think the Klipsch S4's are some of the best earbuds for the price. I've tried a few other brands around that price and they didn't compare. Only complaint about these is they are not very durable (wires are thin and sort of delicate) so they are not the best for exercising or being stuffed carelessly into a pocket or backpack. They have pretty decent bass for earbuds and very clear mids and highs imo.

Thanks I'll look into those.

BTW, I put it in a confusing way in my post, but I don't need it to only play music through one earbud, what I meant is just that I need something that can play mono, since I'll only be listening to one side, and listening to stereo like that just doesn't sound that good ;)

a) Do you have a smartphone? If so, what model?
b) what's your budget?

Nope no smartphone, I'll probably get one eventually, but for the moment I don't really have a good reason to own one.

Budget-wise I don't really have anything hard set, but I'd probably like to avoid spending more than $300 on the mp3/wav/flac/whatever player itself.

Just buy an iPod.. Plenty of refurbished options on Apple.com all with a 1 year warranty.

5th Gen
$329 Refurbished iPod touch 64GB - Black & Slate (5th generation) - Apple Store (U.S.)
$249 Refurbished iPod touch 32GB - Black & Slate (5th generation) - Apple Store (U.S.)

4th Gen
$229 Refurbished iPod touch 64GB - Black (4th generation) - Apple Store (U.S.)
$179 Refurbished iPod touch 32GB - Black (4th generation) - Apple Store (U.S.)

Only issue you'll face is with FLAC files.. iTunes doesn't support it, Apple has their own version of lossless (ALAC). There are however programs to convert FLAC to ALAC, or now they have FLAC player apps i believe. Just put the files on the device and the app can play them.
