Looking for some advice

So I am a little behind the times but I got a new big screen and want to change out the speakers while keeping my rotel setup.

I have a rotel RSP-1066 pre amp processor no hdmi here bought it new 8 or 9 years ago I have it paired with a rotel 5 channel amp RMB-1075.

I had to move my tower speakers downstairs so I have been running a definitive tech center channel and a pair of ancient sansui side speakers.

I would like a smallish left and right set up and a new center possibly sound bar?
I like paradigm and see they have some newer small speakers.

I would like to spend less then 1k total for all 3 less than that even better

This is for tv watching and movies and iTunes streaming.

Good follow-up here, and clarify if smallish means small floorstanding or bookshelf plus stand. At that price, I'd recommend my setup of the EMP clearance mains and matching center, but the only thing small about that setup is the price. The speakers are pretty massive.
