Looking for some advice

So I am in the market to purchase some subwoofers, and would like to go with dual subs. First off I am in Canada so unfortunately the Epiks are a no go. I have narrowed my search down to the following:

eD a5-350 x 2 (Ported) $1430 Not including shipping

Rythmik F15 x 2 (Sealed) $1798 Not including shipping

I would like to keep my budget at $2000 without shipping.

I have read that the eDs have had some issues with 'auto on' not engaging at low volumes, not sure how much truth is in that. And they don't have an 'on' setting or a balanced input, if that matters.

With the Rythmiks, they have a little less power, but they do have an 'on' setting as well as a balanced input.

Use will be say 70% movies 30% music, that may change once the new setup is complete

I would like ones that will dip nice and low for movies yet be accurate for music.

Here is a link to a picture of the layout of my basement if that helps any:

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You really need to give funkywaves a call, they are a sub builder in Canada who make equally good subs but without all the import fees and crazy shipping you have to pay for an american sub. Some of their subs will stomp all over their US competition, like their sealed 18" with a TC LMS driver, that will be a hell of a sub, or their FW15.1, what a insane sub, its like a PC13 Ultra on steroids.

I would say two HSU VTF-15H's but they are american made and I don't know how much it would cost to import them to canada. So funkywaves might be a good deal. Their stuff looks amazing. Never have heard it though.

I was looking at that HSU sub, just wasn't sure about the port design, I am sure it works great but I could not find any reviews on it. Also not sure if I want a ported or sealed design, thinking I might prefer a sealed one. From what I read the sealed designs react faster to quick frequency changes, and ported designs have a bit of a delay, although I am not really sure if thats true.

This latest shoot out (if it ever comes out) will have the VTF-15H in it. Might be worth waiting a bit and seeing the results.

Sorry for the double post earlier
