I have pair of PSB B6 speakers. About 89 or 90db sensitivity min input 20w. Input sources Macbook Pro via HRT Dac (optical from Mac direct or RCA from HRT), Sony blu-ray player, Cable box.

Amps being considered:

Onkyo A-9555 ($300+)
Onkyo A-5vl ($400)
Yamaha A-S700 (used $350/new $800)
Yamaha A-S500 ($400)
NAD C326BEE or NAD C320BEE ($430 or $300)

Use in bedroom, not large. High volume not needed, but right power so low volumes sound their best.

Oh...my PSB speakers are 6ohm impedence, minimum 4ohm.

Need to keep costs down, down, down.

If you can find a NAD 2200 Power Envelope Stereo amp in good condition or reconditioned I'd look into one...~$200-$300+ for an '80s vintage amp, but such a great amp. Excellent for SACD's or Blu-Ray movies with lossless audio...

Given that you do not require high volume, probably any of them would be fine. I would make sure that the one you select is rated for continuous use with 4 ohm speakers, but otherwise, select by price, features, and how it looks. Favor higher powered over lower powered, even though you do not require high volume, as it does not hurt anything to have more power than you need.

Changed from PSB to Polk Audio speakers

Original post & thread were related to PSB Image B6 speakers. Since then have read a lot about some Polk Rti A3 speakers that seem to sound wonderful to their owners. I've found very little user feedback/reviews on the PSB speakers but the Polks get something like 98% positive owner reviews.

I suggest looking at ebay if you want to keep the cost down. Look at offerings from Denon or Sony.

If you like a bright speaker then look at the Polk if you want something more neutral look at the PSB.

I don't think you looked hard enough as well. There is a ton of info on PSB and reviews on the B6. Google is your friend. Just type in PSB Image B6 alot of info comes up. Including a nice review in Stereophile with measurements.

Speakers are very subjective thing and IMO the PSB is much better speaker. I have tried both, and Polk speakers always cause fatigue after short sessions. The PSB's don't do this. Much smoother and easier on the ears.
