simple question hopefully a few can chime in on with advice!! I'm building a new house and am at the wiring stage. i can't make up my mind which way to go, wired or wireless? Im trying to decide weather i should buy a nice receiver and full theatre speaker set up for the movie room OR should i buy the Sonos sound bar, subwoofer and Play 3s for rear and go a full sonos wireless system?? i like my music loud and want to hear/feel the bass playing my music as well as watching movies!! what would you guys go with?? Everything about the sonos makes me want to go that way I'm just not sure if it will go loud enough for my likings!

thanks!!

Put the wires in!
You can use them or not, change your mind, back and forth, whatever you want. If you don't put them in, you still have the same choices, but now with speaker wires along the floor or A LOT more trouble to conceal them.

My suggestion will be of going with the wiring ,as if you change the setup of the place in future it will help you for future use of attaching the electrical plugs .

Go to mono price and buy the in wall speaker wire {good prices and good quality}, look up the 5.1 or 5.1 layouts and figure out where you want everything in your room, wire in a tv box even if you are not doing a wall mount {just in case you want it in the future, you can always put a picture over it for the time being}... It is much easier to wire before the plaster is done than after, lol.. You wont regret it...

When I built my house, I wired for 7.2, but I never poked the wires for the rear speakers through, I know about where they are so I can easily pop a hole for the plate in the wall and hook them up, I probably never will, but in case I ever want to they are there. I also did the dual subs, I only had one sub for a few years then upgraded to duals, the wire and plug were there so it was easy, plus it gave me the option of putting a single sub in more places... I also wired a box in the ceiling that is under the plaster for a projector if I ever want to go that way, I have an hdmi cable and 120v cable ran up there just in case, I kept the exact measurements of where the wires are so I dont have to pop a bunch of whole to find them and they arent huritng anything being up there...

Put the wires in it's a lot cheaper doing it while a house is in pre-frame up than running wires after the walls are sheet rocked and make sure they are labeled correctly at all ends.
