Looking for films in 2.4:1

Hello all,

From my understanding, most films are shot in 2.4:1 format (21:9), but when they are released in blurays, they are formatted to fit 16:9 (to get rid of the black bars). However, I have a 21:9 monitor that I frequently watch movies on, and I get black bars on the sides all the time! Where can I get 2.4:1 format movies?

Hi. I'm not familiar with blu-rays being reformatted to 16:9. I have a number of blu-rays (and DVDs) that have black bars on the top and bottom. Do you have any movies in particular in mind?

Most weren't. A major exception is The Last Indian with Sir Anthony Hopkins.
