looking for cheap subwoofer as prt of a secondary system

I'm looking to add a subwoofer for my secondary system which is used daily but for casual listening only. Its not my main system. I have two speakers left over from a Technics Home Theater system that can play pretty loud but are all midrange/treble with no wait whatsoever at tthe bottom end. I'm looking at this sub model from monoprice which seems to fit the bill. Has anyone heard it play or have it? What are your thoughts?

That's what I'm thinking as well. Its not going to shake foundations but it will flesh out the speakers I have.

This seems a little better with deeper extension, I really don't know about either of them, I have the Pioneer SP-BS41's and I think this is the sub that's part of that 5.1 system, the 41's are excellent speakers for the price, also on sale at Newegg for $89 the pair and the sub $89.

Dayton makes a little 8" sub also, but it costs a bit more and is out of stock right now because I think it was on sale cheap over the holiday weekend.
