Guys –
I'm looking for some advice on bookshelf speakers to replace my B&W FPM4s. I originally bought them for a HT setup, but no longer own a TV (yes!) so I'm only using them for music now. I don't have a sub and the complete lack of bottom end is really getting to me.
The amp is a NAD L75/L55. The room is pretty small and oblong (about 20' x 10') and the sofa/speakers are placed opposite to each other along the shortest dimension.
I'm looking for a pair of bookshelf speakers that:
- Are flexible on placement (I'll need to place them close to or right against the wall so presumably that means sealed or front-ported design?)
- Are alive at low volumes.
- Cost less than $1,000 pair.
- Look good.
So far I've looked at the NHT Classic Three/Two (I'm happy to upgrade the amp if needed for a sealed box design)
Any other suggestions to check out?
Niall
