Hey everyone, just bought myself some new klipsch rf-82's and 62 center to boot and am looking for a music torrent site to download good FLAC or Lossless CD's..... I listen to everything from Rock to Rap to Metal, but i'll really appreciate the instruments in Rock Music and Metal with these speakers so if anyone is a member to a good lossless torrent site i would love an invite!

I'm in debt. Can't spend a dime on music, has to go to movies if anything. Plus, everyone posts music on the net for a reason...

You guys are insane. Think a 19yr old cares about piracy?
I'm going to buy music cd's but it takes time to build a collection and I would like some music in the meantime so if you guys aren't going to help me don't criticize me because all you're doing is wasting my time. I got an invite from another forum, where people aren't as judgemental, only epic fail here is you guys.

....Thanks for the help.

Think we care about your opinion? :D

I hope that you don't actually read so slow that those posts wasted much of your time...

BTW, I'd like a Porsche, but I don't want to pay for it right now. Maybe I'll buy one when I get older. Think that you could steal one and drive it on over here so that I don't have to wait?

Okay, I came across like a d**k on that one. Sorry.

On a serious note - posting on an open forum that you want an invite to download stolen files isn't going to get a lot of public positive response...at least on this forum.

Haha, that's alright... I didn't realize that, as you can see I'm new to the forum. I just came to the musical goodness section assuming someone other than me uses torrents but apparently not... anyways I have my answer so we can all just end this discussion.

Technically correct on some accounts, however there are bootleg Torrent's out there, which typically aren't studio grade quality, but there are excellent quality A+ ones. I have downloaded some Genesis bootleg's from http://torrent.genesis-movement.org/, and the band nor the band's management have any problem with bootlegs as long as they are not sold. There are other groups such as the same. By the way the site above is primarily live concert bootlegs, and is all loseless.

Outside of that, got to buy it or have someone float albums to you like it once was many years ago.

It's to bad that you had to be slapped in the face to get an answer for your question.

Not to long ago the RIAA was going after folks like this hot and heavy!!!

Go do some research on what happened to thousands of peer to peer file sharing folks.

For a bit more en-lightment lookup what DirecTV did to "suspected" Satellite Piracy... tens of thousands of folks stuck with lawyers fees and a minimum of $3500 in "settlement" fees to keep your name out of public records.

Yeah... much better idea then a $10 CD from Amazon.

And this represents our future generations.

I don't have the $$$, I want it anyway... I will just steal it, because everyone does it.

Geeeeeshhh.....

Ps. I don't care if I came across harsh.

keep in mind its not only a legal issue but a moral issue, it costs 20,000 dollars to record an album, not to mention promotions, managment, the cost to manufacture and distribute cd's etc if bands cant pay their music bills they can't keep making more music for you to jam to, especially metal bands, many of the non-mainstream bands work day jobs even though they make money off music its not that much.

check out the live audio section from archives.org, there are hundreds of bands that post live recordings of shows in several formats including FLAC for free and legal too!

When I was 19 I already had 400cds or so. It's called the Close-out section. $10 will get you 5 cds that you usually want. Or $1.50 for a CD, that's 12 songs. That's almost stealing.

My cousin tried to start a career in singing after doing some modeling, and her producer literally told her they weren't going to release a CD for her because it would cost way too much money, and because of the mainstream style people would just download it illegally anyway. That venture cost her $20,000 out of pocket to try to start, and failed thanks to $hit like that.

If you're REALLY looking for legal free music, sign up for the E-mailing list of every record company you can think of. About once a month I receive about 2 or 3 downloadable albums filled with songs for free. Usually about 12 songs each time. And none of it is unheard of. Just songs put out for a feeler. Find out what you really like, find out who produces them, and hit their website to get a bunch of free stuff.

Oh, I don't know Adam-it seems to me that it was well deserved, given the faux outrage and virtual stomping of feet that resulted when nobody stepped up to "help". Maybe we should ask him to post his credit card and Social Security numbers for all to use-after all, he doesn't care about pirating others work, so identity theft of his own information can't be that bad, either, right? What's good for the goose....

Wow. Maybe the topic creator should have made do with his current speakers or bought some cheaper ones so he could have bought some cds as well. I'm not gonna deny that I'm a pirate, but I still buy plenty of cds when I'm able to. People like him are the reason pirates get such a bad rap :(
