Hoping someone in here could help with some suggestions on how to get the best sound out of my basement living room with 8'2" ceiling (which as you will see by the pics below is far from an ideal home theatre room).
Constraints:
- All speakers are concealed (i.e. in-wall, in-ceiling)
- The right side of the wall (2x6 construction) that the 65" OLED TV will be placed on has a pocket door that would most likely prevent me from fitting a right channel speaker (unless they are really shallow in the wall)
- Couch (Sectional) to remain against wall
Questions:
- How many speakers would work well?
- Would my best bet be just putting an LCR speaker like a B&W CWM7.4 directly under the tv (if I cant fit a dedicated right channel due to pocket door)?
- Would surround speakers work at all in this space?
- Should I put them in the ceiling or wall behind/side?
- Would 5.1 be attainable? Dobly Atmos worth it?
- Hide dedicated subwoofer in-wall going under the stairs?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
