Looking for a new sub

I am looking to upgrade my sub. I currently have Boston acoustic Micro 90 for my center and front speakers and Boston VRS for my rear speakers. I have an old sony sub that I would like to change. Any recommendations? I have looked at the Boston PV 500, 700, & 900. I have a small room so I don't know if the increased wattage is worthwhile. I also don't know if it is worth mixing and matching with another brand. I have a yamaha RXV2600 receiver. Any feedback would be welcome. Thanks

How small is the room? What is your price range? SVS PB10 works great in smallish spaces, and is one heck of a good deal.

Room is 12'-3" X 12'-6"....will spend anywhere from $300-700

Agreed. A Single PB-10 will extend down to 15Hz in that room!

Warning: You might not be able to breathe

I can't help but recommend what I just bought,

the Earthquake SuperNova MKIV 10. For up to $700 you may even be able to land the dual 12' model, but I doubt you'd need that much bass.
Search for it on eBay and you should pull up plenty of options in the $350 range.
It's quality has totally blown me away, it's relatively inexpensive, has a small footprint, and if you go with the cherry finish it has a much higher WAF (if that matters) than a black box sub.
For under $400 with shipping you can't go wrong! Oh, and since your room is even smaller than mine, 15-20 Hz shouldn't be a problem (well, for the neighbors maybe, te-he).
