Just looking for some input on a good set of floor standing fronts to go with my 5.1 setup. I am using a Yamaha HTR-6180 amp and listen to mainly rock n roll as well as blue ray movies.

How big is the room that you will be using tem in? What vlume levels are you try to sustain? If teh room isn't too big and teh volume levels not too high, a $500 budget increase can your the new PSB Imagine towers. They have rapidly been garnering all kinds of acolades in the audio industry. Its well worth your audition. You may like them youi may not. Thats why its important to audition.. :)

Thanks for the replies. My room is 16' x 16'. I'm looking for something with lots of punch! Any thoughts on the Klipsch
WF-35's?

i have been looking at the emotiva towers. looks like they would sound good and crank at the same time.

Only speakers that sound good to you, will...ummm...sound good.

Only option in picking speakers is to get out there and audition all you can find.

I'm kind of in a remote area with little access to audition speakers. How do you like the V.4-100's?

It would help to know what your existing 5.1 set up is. The front towers should match your center channel as closely as possible (or vice-versa) unless there is room to add a matching center at some point.

ok. i am shopping right now, and price is a factor. i don't want to make any mistakes.
i would love to have your setup. but i wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost.
sometimes (often for me) a guy has to know when to say "good enough"

Would you rather pick a floorstading KEF iQ7 or bookshelf B&W 685 for the amount of money you have?
