I'm helping my inlaws build a system for their new house. Right now I'm looking at a denon 3805 for the tv room with 5.1 speakers. They also want a pair of speakers in the living room and a pair for outside. My first thought was to use the multi-room capabilites of the 3805 to control the living room and outside, but the living room is far from the tv room and the in-laws don't want to be constantly trekking back and forth just to change a CD. Thus, I am looking for a second stereor only receiver. Any suggestions? The room is HUGE, 20 foot ceilings. probably 20' x 30' floor space. also the sound has to come from bookshelf speakers. (You think the WAF is tough, try the Mother-In-Law-AF).
