I googled and everything seems to come up from 4 years ago. I am trying to condense my home stereo to fit in a smaller corner, which means ditching the large floor staning speakers I have. I am going with a set of bookshelfs in the cabinet on the bottom and covering the whole with a grille. What I am looking for is something with good full range sound for music only. It will powered by a yamaha stereo reciever. I may consider building small stands as well.

Check out the Harmon Kardon ebay store for Infinity P152. You can get lucky and pick them up for $40-50/ea.

-Your not going to get "full-range" sound through any speaker for $100. I suggest you also look at The Speaker Company ASW-8 subwoofer that you can find for around $90 shipped when funds become available.

Yeah, no doubt I should have said, I'm looking for the closest thing to full range I can get. Thanks, I will look into it.

Here are some speakers that I bought because they were receommended for their price ( I actually have three sets of them, garage system and for surrounds in media room) Sony SB3000. They have very good sound for the price, are medium size 2-way bookshelf speakers and are less than $100 per pair delivered. $74.95 plus shipping from B & h Photo http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/493591-REG/Sony_SS_B3000_SS_B3000_3_Way_Bookshelf_Speakers.html

Now having said that, If you can up you budget to $219 ( Yes , I know you said $100). But for $219 delivered, these are oustanding bookshelf speakers ( smaller than the Sony SB 3000 and vry high quality) Cambridge Audio S30.

Anyway good luck, both are very good choices!

You could look for some Boston Acoustics CR's which are discontinued now, but people may still have them.

If Beta 20s will fit inside your enclosure they are what I use for my fronts and they have a great range. They really shine on music even more so then surround sound. But they are a bit bulky so be warned.

Ebay em they go for around 50 each.
