Looking for a fun easy full range project? I built a pair of BIB's (bigger is better) about a month ago. Fun easy project with good results. I used the Fostex FE207E 8" driver and solid Aspen wood for the enclosures. Info on how to build and just about any FR driver for a BIB can be found at.

These simple folded horn speakers can make bass like a FR shouldn't be able to do. Sound is real nice with vocals and strings. Hard rock and metal can be a bit bright. The single drivers struggle a bit with real complicated music but it has to be very complicated. The solid Aspen adds a real nice instrument quality to the sound. Here are a few pics.
The Fostex are real efficient and easy to drive with little power. I have tried SS and tube and T-Amp and all sound well with the tube being best and the T-Amp a close second. Placement is important with these. They sound best deep into the corners of the room.
Madisound supplied the components and local home improvement store the wood and glue. I got about $200 into each speaker.
Break in has been getting better and better. If you got the room these are a fun project. I'm happy with the sound. Not blown away but happy. Cheers
