Ok I like these speakers

Now I know there not the best, but there good compared to other AU$95 speakers (thats how much i can get them for).
Any way to my actual question. It has the black/green/orange 3.5mm jack for the audio in.

ok so I want to connect it to my dvd player. Which has 6 (analogue) RCA out in the 5.1 channels. If I use an adapter 2xRCA to 1x3.5mm (stereo) Socket. and plug Front Left/Front Right from dvd player to the 2 rca(on the adapter) and then plugged in the Green (from the x-530)to the other side of the adapter. Then did the same for Center/Sub and Rear Left/Rear Right with 2 more adapters. would this give me surround sound?
I hope you can understand what I am trying to do.
Just need to know if it will work.
