Logitech VS Bose Vs Yamaha

My business recently won a Bose Acoustimass 10 system, worth around $900 (some argue it is worth nothing (c: ). I have a partner and I have the option to either buy it for $400, or try and sell it on ebay. We think we could get $800 total and each pocket $400.

I have considered a few options:

1. Buy the system for $400, add a home reciever ($300) and be done. ($ 700 out of pocket)
2. Sell the system, use my $400 to buy the Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 computer speaker set and use that as a home theater in a box setup. ($100 added to pocket!)
3. Sell the system, use my $400 towards the yamaha ysp-800 surround sound projector, plus the mount, plus the sub. (roughly $500 out of pocket).

I am curious to know what you would recommend to produce the best "bang for the buck".

I have a pretty small room, and will sit roughly 6 feet from my 32" LCD. I have an oppo upsampling dvd player, comcast digital/hd cable and an xbox 360.

I plan to mainly watch movies and play the xbox360, but would also like the system for listening to music, either through CD(dvd player) or ipod.

With my research it seems like all of these sytems would be fine for my intentions, but I am pretty interested in that yamaha. my fear is that I have drapes on the left side of room which would damped the reflection, and the right side of my room is somewhat offset compared to the left. So it is far from ideal for the room, but I really do like the clean install and lack of speakers/wires. The logitech is attractive because of the price, and the positive reviews.

Most in-depth reviews knock the bose, so I am thinking it is wise to stay away. I am also interested in any other small systems that would sound great for games/music/movies.

Thank you for your help and suggestions.

Definitely NOT option #1, though for $400, it wouldn't be horrible by any means.

Opion #3 - Sounds like it isn't a bad choice. The review here of the 1100 was pretty favorable (you should read it first before going this way), however you do need to have a room that will lend itself to this type of gear, so I would say if your room will work for it, it probably would be a good choice.

Me personally, I'd probably piece together a higher quality used/budget 2.1 setup to start with myself.
