Logitech Harmony One issue - HELP!

I am having an issue with my Logitech Harmony One remote and could use some help.

Say I'm watching TV and turn my system off. For TV, my AVR is set to the HDMI 2 input. Then, if I later want to watch a BD/DVD etc., I will select that activity on the remote and turn the system on again. When I do this, the receiver should be switched to the BD HDMI input for my PS3. However, that doesn't happen when I am powering the system on (if the system is already on, the input switch does occur). I will then hit the Help button on the remote and it then switches the inputs on the AVR.

How can I fix this issue? Thanks!

I don't use harmony remotes any longer but this should be a simple fix. Did you go through the setup for that devise and make sure the source switch was not set to close to the power up of the receiver? What is probably happening is that the remote is firing the request to switch to the DVD source input but the receiver is still in power up mode and cannot commit that command. Either add a delay if you can (say 3 seconds) or move that farther down in the list of commands.

Sounds like your receiver needs a larger power-on delay or inter-device delay. The Power-on delay tells the remote how long it has to wait after turning the reciever on before it will listen to commands. the inter-device delay tells it how long it has to wait after a command to another device so the receiver won't get confused by two commands right on top of each other. I'd try increasing the power-on delay first.

If none of the options already mentioned work for you.... venture over to www.logitech.com > Forums> There is a Guru over there that goes by the name wannabe acturary. This guy has saved me more than once with my Harmony remote. Good Luck

Go to device and set delay on for 500 milliseconds...a half second. When it does not work properly(system commands) press help button on remote...pay attention to what happens...it will fix itself most of the time and sync itself. Basically like my 880.
