It appears that the Revue is being discontinued and will not be replaced.

Yesterday, Logitech hosted an Analyst and Investor Day and during his remarks, CEO Guerrino De Luca pulled absolutely no punches in describing the "mistakes" the company made with its Logitech Revue Google TV set top box. Calling the company's Christmas 2010 launch "a mistake of implementation of a gigantic nature," De Luca told investors that the company had "brought closure to the Logitech Revue saga" by making plans to let inventory run out this quarter and that there are "no plans to introduce another box to replace Revue."

This because they say they lost 100 million on the deal because it didn't get the numbers they were hoping for. Cluster Bork.

The big questions is: Are they going to support it with updates? And for how long? Most importantly, will it get the pending Google update that has been "due any day now" for over 3 weeks?

That is the question. TWIT's All About Android reviewed the new Google TV 2.0 application (~38:30min into the show) running on a Sony BD player. Unfortunately it was just before Logitech's announcement so they don't touch on that issue. It's possible that if Logitech doesn't make Google TV 2.0 available that someone will get their hands on it and develop a way to install it on the Review. No guaranties but it's that's kind of a geeky product.

FWIW they also do a 50,000 foot view of the Kindle Fire vs the Nook Tablet at about 25min into the show. I like TWIT but their shows are awfully chatty.
