Hello All...

I am new here to this site and I apologize if I am repeating a topic... I am also a rookie so bear with me...

I have a new home build and there is a coaxial cable run thru the wall for a TV to be hooked up to and wall mounted. The coaxial cable is then fed to my closet where I have the rest of my AV equipment. I have a Directv receiver, Yamaha AV receiver (does my switching between items), blu-ray player, & XBOX.

At this point I have the coax cable to the closet but I do not have a coax out on my Yamaha receiver. I have HDMI out. Is there anyway that I can convert HDMI to coax?

Any help is appreciated!

You don't need a coax to your yamaha. Use an HDMI cable from your reciver to your TV.

Right!... I should have added that they spray foamed the wall with the coax in the wall... so for me to get an HDMI in the wall will be a tough chore...

Sounds like you're SOOL. I recommend you get to your hardware store and buy a fishing cable, preferably metal, and fish the cable thru. Make sure that you pre-bore the whole length as much as possible to accommodate the HDMI cable head and then cover the HDMI cable head completely with electrical tape to make sure none of the foam gets on the contacts once you fish it thru. I would also recommend running a fish string along with the HDMI cable for future runs. Good luck, I've done it before and it is time consuming but worth it aesthetically. Depending on the length of the run you may want to get another person to help you at the other end, instead of running back and forth.
