Dear all

Here's something I've been wondering for a while but keep on forgetting to ask:

I have the Screenplay 5700 DLP projector. On either side (i.e. by the air intakes) there are little circuit boards with a little glass 'eye'. If I had to guess, I'd say they were for the projector to determine the ambient light of the room (for whatever reason), but honestly don't have a clue.

Does anybody know? Can you help?! ;)

Regards

If you cover up the "eye" (in a lit room) does it change the projected image?
Could also be temperature sensors to controll the fan speed.
