Just wondering if anyone else had major lip-sync issues when the cameras cut to the commentator booth during the Steelers/Dolphins football game. This wasn't occuring on any other HD channel.

I have the same tv, and was watching the game in HD via an OTA antenna, and I don't recall having any lip sync issues, but then again I wasn't paying that much attention to the game, and I have audio delay set through my receiver.

No problems here. Using Comcast with DVI directly to the Plasma (Sony) for video and a plain old stereo analog connection from the cable box to the TV.

So, what's new? The sync was off on the analog over the air signal. The sync is off about 50% of the time on most TV anyway.:D

No problem with the sync. But at 10 PM my audio switched from English to Spanish. Couldn't get it back either. All my settings on the cable box, DVR, & TV say English. Other channels were still coming in in English, as were the comercials on NBC. I gave up after 30 minutes and just put music on while I watched.

Oh, and a side note. They had a guy dubbing the Spanish for when the woman was interviewing on the sidelines. Got a good laugh at that.

Do you have SAP turned on? Sometimes the station accidentaly broadcasts the secondary audio program and you will hear Spanish instead of English. This happened once when I worked at a local tv station, I went back the next day and checked the tape, and it was all English, I later learned what had really happened.

My big problem with the broadcast was that, at least on Brighthouise (i.e. Time Warner Cable) every third cut, especially instant replays and at the start of a play, the picture would go from crystal clear to severely defocused.

It was SO annoying. The whole game it did that. I saw it on a couple of the preseason games I watched too, but figured it was just something they were ironing out.

Thanks, I'll check tonight.

I've got Cox here in Phoenix. It seems that the broadcast stations are getting a little lazy with the audio/visual syncing. Just trying to figure out if it was my TV decoding slowly or not. My audio goes straight into my POS Sony that doesn't have any delay function. (On a bright side...I'm slowly working on my wife for a new/B-stock Denon for the new house with some nice towers.)

The audio syncing has never been a major issue when watching movies. Just on the occasional HD broadcast.

For gmichael -

He obtenido Cox aquí en Phoenix.
