Lighting capital of the WORLD

Two “surge/filter” protectors. One connected to the other would this offer better protection. On the other hand, would it have any "NEGATIVE" effect on my system?
I live in south Florida the lighting capital of the world.

If you are at all concerned about it I would do this with a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply). The primary use for one of these is for a computer. What I have found is installing one of these levels out the voltage irregularities that the common household experiences. Additionally if a strike from the sky does occur, it will be absorbed in the batteries and cut off by it's internal surge protector. (And yes this is speaking from experience )
