The Infinity primus system (362,351,162) in the family room isn't working out so well. Placement is an issue and i think I'd have more success with a smaller form factor so I'm thinking of a replacing the 5 with a mix of slender and shallow towers / bookshelves. Preferably something easier to move into proper position when listening and out of harms way afterwards.

Any thoughts or experience with any of the following:

NHT Absolute Tower
Paradigms Cinema 330's are on sale for an attractive price, or perhaps the millenia 200.
Tannoy Arena Highline 500
Atlantic Technology fs3200
Definitive Technology Mythos, probably the 4 tower.

Room is 16 x 18 with sloped ceilings, open to dining room, kitchen, etc. Bass currently provided by a pair of Energy s10.3s. We don't usually listen very loud, but it is a big space and with the open floorplan there can be background noise.

Have you considered on-walls from EMP? EMP Tek On-wall Speakers
There isn't really a good place for on walls. Problem is there is a large hearth flanked by windows on one wall, the next is all windows & sliding doors, the next is open. Corner placement between the hearth & sliding door is where we are now. I'd like to put the TV over the mantle and have speakers on either side. Current primus towers are a no go for that, but I think something more slender might work.

Adding the Aperion Intimus 4t to the list. I think a more standard tower like the NHT or the Aperion may be the better way to go.

The AT's with Stands also fits the bill I guess, the stands just raise the price though and the matching centers are pricier than the others.

Think I'll have to do some ordering and compare.

Having owned both... IMO the Absolute Tower is a better speaker. The 4T isn't a bad speaker at all... just not on the same performance level as the AT IMO. I also never really liked the Aperion 5C, and think the NHT 2C is clearly better.

That said, you can get an open box pair of 4T's for just a little more than the sale price of a single AT. The beauty of both companies' return policies is that you can demo both in home and return the "loser" with no out of pocket cost.

I'd be curious to read your opinion if you compare the two.
