LG Plasma

What do the experts here think of the LG panels.? I was at a highend shop that carry's the Pioneer Elite line and Hitachi Director series line of Plasmas;
The salesman spoke very highly b/w the Pioneer and Hitachi--giving highpoints
to one over the other on various features. The thing that was interesting was that he also kept directing me to look "hard" at LG----he said that him and the rest of the sales staff have been very impressed with the quality picture and build of the LG Plasma and because of the much lower price b/w it and the PIONEER/HITACHI (same price), not to be scared off that it was of lower quality by the lowere price.

What are others thoughts.

Prices are as follows: 50" Pioneer Elite---$6300
55" Hitachi Director series.-----$6500
50" LG Plama----$3750

Clint,
I met with my LG rep the other day and he led me to believe that the DVR would only record from a terrestrial antenna. I have not had a chance to look at the spec sheets myself. Do you know for sure that it will record from cable or satellite?
