I am sure there is a setting I am missing something. I know Sony's menus backwards and forwards, but since this is my first LG TV in many years coming across a hurdle.

When playing Amazon Music it defaults to multi-channel and not 2.1. Has anyone else experience this issue and if so, how did the resolve it?

Tried changing output seetings to all three options
- PCM
- Auto
- Passthrough

Checking my AVM70 now to see if it is a setting

Reminds me of the issue in this thread which may be related to full bandwidth multich pcm.

You're using the app in the tv and passing on via eARC?

The TV app on the G5 is actually quite good, and yes I am passing it on via eARC
I just got the C5. Don't usually use Amazon music, tho since I am eligible I just installed it. Seems to be normal stereo output over eARC.

ps I say seems to be as there seems to be no way to get a readout of what the tv is receiving. Information (with the ... button) brings up nothing and since I'm using eARC I can't see the gui of my avr (Denon 4700) but can use stereo, Dolby Surround, MultiCh, etc without issue....

Maybe it is an Anthem thing, I have the same issue with Spotify

Yeah, have already used the Spotify app on the C5, no issues there. I'd still think it's related to the tv/app, tho. The Anthem hopefully only deals with what it is dealt....

ps Assume you've tried various input/sound modes to confirm the Anthem's involvement or not?

Yes, it's strange, not sure why it is happening. I have Apple TV 4K so will just play from there.
