I have seen this one in Future Shop, liked the picture very much, but then found some reports that dismiss the model due to the fact that it does not support HDCP.
What is the story about HDCP in North America, and specifically in Canada, will the lack of support for HDCP render it unusable in the near future?

If the broadcast flag is turned on and HD over component video is turned OFF, the only way to display HD content will be by hooking up your HD receiver to the display using a DVI/HDMI cable.

The video will then be sent in full HD resolution to your display...

protected with High Definition Copyright Protection going on - better known as HDCP.

If your display does can't decipher HDCP, then your TV won't be able to display that programming. I would not consider buying a new display without HDCP... I think I would only consider HDMI at this point as well.

So there is no way to have some sort of a device that will decipher HDCP before it is sent to TV?
