I'm having problems to set a correct level for my Onkyo subwoofer. Wat is the average level setting for a subwoofer? Plus DB or minus DB??

Its room dependent. From your listening position it should be level matched with your main speakers. Most avrs set the level, if your lacking bass you can adjust to your liking.

EDIT: A better question is HOW do you set the level for a subwoofer and the answer is readily available with even a cursory search on this forum. Stating the rec'r model you are using would help to get an answer from the membership.
