i want to apologize if i have offended anyone or have come off hard headed. i also am sorry if it seems i was trolling, it was not my intention.
to make up for any trouble i have caused i am willing to be less harsh to people when corrected, im willing to have a humble attitude with more knowledgable members and be willing to listen and refrain from posting without proper education on subjects.

i would like to remain an active member of this forum and gain knowledge and hopefully be able to share the knowledge i have gained to other members in the future.

i hope you will accept my apology.

regards, yepimonfire

yepimonfire,

Admitting problem is always a first step ;)

Hostly, thou I consider myself well read in most audio matters.
I did spent the time reading most of AH Educational materials and bunch of others well before that.
I have good background in electronics and computers,

BUT !!

Lots of people on this forums are Electric Engineers and have been audio nuts over 20-30 years.
Add to this mix several industry pro, who's doing audio/video for living and you'll see why I feel humbled quite often here....

Thou I troll here as well sometime, I try to keep my trolling under control :D

Thanks, yepimonfire for the sincere apology. This can be a tough crowd, especially to "know it all noobs". You're certainly taking the right steps to making friends here. Its important to remember that the end goal for most of us is ultimately education. I just post trying to fit in. :p But, keep an open mind and use general courtesy in the forum and you'll be just fine. I admire you for sticking around thus far, we would have driven most off by now.

Seriously, though... No apology necessary... although appreciated. Rep on recharge.

Where's that ban button again? :D j/k

This is a good place, and a lot of people tend to frequent it pretty regularly. There's a lot of people here who have a lot of experience. Having an attitude doesn't go over well with the mods here, even though they are more reasonable here compared to many other forums. Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

Good points BoredSysAdmin. Yes I personally know some of whom you speak, well at least one(1)

This is a great forum for learning and sharing. And I have found most times no matter how much I think I might or might not know, there are some really smart people that particpate on this forum that know a whole lot more than me!

I am often humbled by the vast knowledge of the forum members.

Yepimonfire, keep participating and asking :)

Peace, Good Sound and good Video,

Now I'm confused. I thought this was AA and I was beginning to think it was a really poor program as my drinking hasn't slowed down at all in the 3 years I have been on here.

So it's more about TVs and speakers?

Here is an example of you doing exactly what you said you’d try not to do. You waded in to a topic and started firing off half cocked answers to a problem and a topic you don’t fully seem to understand, and as such you should probably be mute on the subject.

You’re obviously a very verbose person and that’s okay, and it would appear that you want to be helpful too, which is a good thing.

However, it would seem that you have just enough knowledge to do more harm than good. Unless you fully grasp a topic you shouldn’t be telling people what’s what. Instead you should be reading what others are saying and making sure that it fits with what you know. The important thing to know is the limit of your own knowledge, and that there are people on this forum that understand many of these topics much more intimately than you or I could ever wish to. So if you see a thread with a question and you only “kind of” understand the topic, but not fully, just stop! Someone else will come along and save the day.

You don’t have to be a post whore to be liked, that will be determined by what you bring to the table.

I gave you rep when Seth defended you, but I almost pulled out the neg rep for the thread I linked. I want you to stay and learn as this is a great place with great people from all walks of life. It’s a valuable resource for knowledge that shouldn’t be squandered.

Sincerely,
A neophyte
