A friend of mine has a set of Legacy Audio Focus speakers vintage 1999.
He bought these speakers brand new. They are in Mint like new condition
with less than 30 hours of use. They are the expensive cherry premium finish
model. They stand approx. 5' high and weigh 185 pounds each. I was wondering
if anyone on this forum may no the current value of this set. He wants me to sell
them for him. The owners manual is signed by Bill Dudleson and says thanks
Pete enjoy the Focus

I knew a Pete in college that had these speakers around the same time. What a coincidence. :D

I previously owned a pair of these Legacy speakers for many years. If a mint pair can be had for about $2K, IMHO I know of no way to get better overall sound for that price. One odd thing about them is that the bass rolls off much faster than you would think for a 165lb, 3x12" woofer design. Powerful down to 31Hz, by 25Hz they are quite rolled off, and no one is home at 20Hz. Another hint, though they are very efficient (claimed to do 96db/2.83v/1m) they are one heck of a difficult load in the bottom two bass octaves. Bring a beefy amp along. One final hint, if you're not familiar with true 96db/2.83v speakers you better hope you have very quiet electronics, or you may hear hiss you've never heard before.
