Hello everyone,

Here's the thing I have Genius SW-HF5.1 4500 5.1 system on my pc and what I've just noticed is that my left surround speaker is way lower than the rest of them. Now what I did was switched the cables from surround left and right where they are plugged in my woofer and as expected left was normal while right had lower sound. Now I'm wondering is this how surround speaker behave normally or is something broken and I need to return them? This is my first surround system so I have no idea how it should behave. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers !

This worked differently up until now or is this a new system or a new-to-you system?

Have you gone into the settings for each channel's level in your software and checked to see if that's the issue? Might also check distance/delay levels too.

Is it possibly a bad cable? Is it possibly a problem with what I assume is an amp in the sub?

Do you have a url for the manual any better than this? https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1732714/Genius-Sw-Hf5-1.html#manual

Thanks for the reply :)
It's a fairly new system, I bought it 3-4 months ago. Honestly I did not pay much attention to that untill now, it is possible that it has been like that since I got it. As far as the software goes everything is ok. When I plug the SL speaker to SR connector it works fine so it is not the cable from the speaker, and also all the RCA to 3,5x have been tested on my 2.1 system so it's not that either . My guess is that something is faulty with SL connector on the back the woofer. I have just returned it to the store where I got it 20mins ago so it's their problem now

That's an amazingly long time for a return! What are you going to do now?

If I returned it in the first two weeks they would immediately give me a new one or refund me.This way I need to wait up to 30 days , it has 2 year warranty so they will either fix it or give me a new one. Untill then I am condemend to my 2.1 system. Lucky for me I did not sell it or gave it away when I upgraded to 5.1 :D
