LCD Rear Proj - Sony vs. Hitachi

ok, I currently have a 42" Hitachi Plasma and I want a bigger TV, due to budget I am looking at LCD Rear Projection. So I have narrowed it down to two models. The Hitachi 50V525 or the Sony KFE50A10. I can get both for the same price... Any opinions?

My buddy has the Hitachi 50VF820, I think the Sony has a better picture.
