Last piece of puzzle advice (speakers)

Hi,

I am pretty obtuse when it comes to HT but I think I have managed to assemble a pretty decent little system.

I have a 55" Panasonic VT30 Plasma TV, a Denon 2112 receiver and a PS3 for a blue-ray player.

Now I need to upgrade my speakers.

I am currently using old (5 yrs old) Infinity 5.1 HTIB speakers and they have been absolutely great but, I think an upgrade would be in order?

I am budgeting around 500-1000 and am thinking a 7.1 might be the way to go or would 5.1 suffice?

My room is approx 15' x 12' and square.;)

Any advice or help is much appreciated.:)

Truthfully, my budget is fairly flexible. I used the 500-1000 parameters just for an approx, I could easily move that up 500 dollars if it makes good sense to do so.

Is your HTiB a tss-sat?
If so you could just buy these and they might look and sound similar.

If you want to buy surrounds than you could add these.

upgrading your sub might be all the improvement you want.
depending on what you want one of these might be a fit.

Here's one system worth looking at:

2x Infinity P363: $400
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108P363BK/Infinity-Primus-P363.html
Infinity PC351: $200
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108PC351BK/Infinity-Primus-PC351.html
2x Infinity P163: $170
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108P163BK/Infinity-Primus-P163.html
Total is $770 for five speakers, leaving you only $230 for a sub...so you should not buy a sub until you have a larger budget for it.
This ^ with a Hsu Research VTF-2 sub. It's more than you need right now but will sound great and with the Infinities gives you a rock solid system that you aren't likely to outgrow for a few years - maybe more - even if you move to a place twice that size. :D
