The Proms at RAH ended the 2025 season last Saturday. There were 76 concerts seven days a week for two months and also some regional Proms with over 100 concerts for the season. All were broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and 26 Proms were also broadcast on TV.

It was a wonderful season with orchestras coming from all over Europe and even Australia.

The concerts were started in 1895 by Sir Henry Wood at the Queen's Hall London. When that Hall was bombed in WWII, the concerts moved to the Royal Albert Hall. A German pilot said he was instructed to bomb the RAH, but he was a music lover. He said he just could not bring himself to bomb the RAH and dumped his bomb cargo.

The last night of the Proms which was last Saturday, is a national party with very high spirits and yearly selections with the full 6250 in the audience singing at full volume with the BBC Symphony Orchestra with the Voice of Jupiter making a big contribution. The hall was packed every night and the standing space crowded.

Here is the first half.

Here is the second half with the usual high spirits.

I think you will all really enjoy this.
