Large room needs small speaker

Considering Veritas V-5.1, Dynaudio DM2/6 or PSB imagine mini ?? Bought an older home w/ large great room. Legacy spkrs are Bose. Prewired. I can fit a bookshelf speaker. Driving with ONKYO nr609- 100wpc. Rears mounted up on ceiling 15 ft up/behind. Mostly home theater..Which will have the best output?? Budget 300-400 each.

Home theater mag just did a review on the PSB Mini- they really liked them but ininuated the need for a high end amp for them to sound their best.

So in addition to the fine choices you have already mentioned-

Swan (from theaudioinsider) makes some nice small monitors like the

D1.1se at $499/pair with a 30 day trial. Size 11.5 x 6.75 x 9in- they have a matching center too

Martin Logan Motion LX16 $799/pair list Size 11" x 6.5" x 9.5", can use the moition 6, 8 or C for center

NHT Classic Two- $299 each, Size 12.125"Hx 7"Wx 8.875"D (sealed so no need to worry about ports, easier placement) also have a matching center

B&W 600 series bookshelf speakers, front ported, not too sure on the size.

KEF Q100, front ported, $550/pair, size 11.8 x 7.1 x 10.7 in, matching center available

Is this for surround duty or main duty?

CBM-170 SE High Performance Bookshelf Loudspeaker are probably the best bookshelves under 400.

If you are fudging the budget the Infinity Primus stuff at harmanaudio.com is very good.

I would want a center, 2 fronts and 2 surrounds. The surrounds have to be ceiling mountable so they'll need to wiegh less than 12 lbs. Thank you for the link!
