I currently have my laptop connected to my receiver via an HDMI cable. The receiver is then connected to my TV with another HDMI cable. This way I can use my wireless keyboard and mouse to comfortably control my laptop on my big screen from my couch.
The problem is that the audio from laptop is constantly crackling or cutting out for 2 or 3 seconds at a time. I have tried several different cables so I know that is not the problem. It also seems to happen most frequently with anything that makes my fairly old laptop work hard.
So, I'm wondering if anybody has any idea if there are simply some settings I can change or something or if maybe my laptop is just too crappy? I don't think my laptop has other outputs available that will connect to the receiver so if the HDMI cable is the problem I am probably just out of luck.
