Part of the deal for me to get my new components ended up being that my wife gets a new laptop. I'm having two issues integrating this HP DV6233SE into the home theater via my Denon AVR-2307CI.
I'm trying to get audio from the SPDIF port on the front of the laptop. I have a plug to RCA mono adapter into the coax1 on the Denon and assigned it to VCR1. This works fine through the SPDIF output on my cable box, but I get no sound from the laptop.
I'm trying to get video from the laptop through S video connected to VCR1 on the Denon. I am running a single HDMI to the TV and I have enabled Analog to HDMI in the menu for VCR1, but get no picture. I can get picture by hooking S video directly to the TV s video input, but not through the Denon.
Any help by computer or Denon experts is greatly appreciated. This little distraction is taking time away from setting up my new SVS.
