I've been a Luc Besson fan ever since seeing this film, and it lead me to Leon: The Professional as well, two that sit well among my favorites. I don't recall when I originally saw this, but I know I saw it in French. I had missed some of it, so I rented it on VHS(!) but it was the English dub and lost a lot of flavor for me. I'll let you discover the story on your own, for those who haven't seen this, but it revolves around a girl who is a drug addict who gets picked up by the police and after going down hill, she gets a second chance...of sorts. Because of her attitude and hard headedness, she is placed in a program and is trained as an assassin. The movie is well written and well acted. Now on BD the video quality is simply amazing for a movie from 1990, especially one that looked fairly poor on previous releases. I was very impressed with this one; though it shows its age at times, the remastering has it looking better than ever. The audio is good, not great; nowhere near as good as something like Blade Runner's remastering, but the French TrueHD track is still good. I would highly recommend fans pick this one up.

One of my favorites as a teen-ager. A great movie, and much better with the original French. I agree that the English dub sucks.

It was the first time that I ever saw a fully automatic Beretta handgun. Oh, baby.

Point of No Return has it's upsides (Bridget Fonda being the biggest one for me), but it can't hold a candle to this original.

I got this BD when it came out. They did a great job with the transfer. I loved this movie. I'm also a Luc Besson fan.
